In January, 1995 there were 14 members of the
department enrolled in the first paramedic class to be held in
Mayfield. The class consisted of extensive training and testing in
all areas of advanced life support. On July 1, 1996, the Mayfield-Graves County
Ambulance Service declared Advance Life Support with a staff of 12
paramedics who had successfully completed training. This upgrade
greatly increased the quality of Emergency Medical care for the
people of Mayfield and Graves County. In October, 2005, the 2nd
paramedic class added 8 paramedics to the department. |
