
The Mayfield Fire Department and Graves County
EMS are involved in many aspects of fire prevention and first
aid training, and offers fire prevention and safety programs to
many organizations. In September, 1995, the members of the
Mayfield Fire Department unveiled one of the finest Child Fire
Safety Houses in the area. After many long, hard hours of work
by the men and women of the department, and generous donations
from the merchants and individuals of the community, the Child
Fire Safety House was ready in time for Fire Prevention Week.
Although fire prevention week is nationally recognized as the
second week in October, members of the fire department continue
fire prevention education throughout the year. The Mayfield Fire
Department has several specially designed programs to benefit the
citizens of Mayfield and Graves County. These programs are
prepared to meet the needs of your civic, church, school, or other
organization. Programs can be arranged to fit your group’s
