Fire Safety Smoke Alarms Escaping Fires Crossword Puzzle

The Mayfield Fire Department and Graves County EMS are involved in many aspects of fire prevention and first aid training, and offers fire prevention and safety programs to many organizations. In September, 1995, the members of the Mayfield Fire Department unveiled one of the finest Child Fire Safety Houses in the area. After many long, hard hours of work by the men and women of the department, and generous donations from the merchants and individuals of the community, the Child Fire Safety House was ready in time for Fire Prevention Week.

Although fire prevention week is nationally recognized as the second week in October, members of the fire department continue fire prevention education throughout the year. The Mayfield Fire Department has several specially designed programs to benefit the citizens of Mayfield and Graves County. These programs are prepared to meet the needs of your civic, church, school, or other organization. Programs can be arranged to fit your group’s explicit needs. Some of the programs offered are:

  • Fire Extinguisher Use

  • Fire Safety in the House

  • Personal Care Home Safety

  • Child Fire Safety

  • Smoke Detectors
